  • Therapy is a service offered for mental health support by providers who have completed appropriate graduate-level (or beyond) education and training. Therapy services are regulated and often include a diagnosis and treatment of mental health condition. Because of licensing requirements in the US, therapists can only offer services to clients who are located in the state/s in which they are licensed. Currently, McClain is licensed in Kentucky.


    Coaching is a service that assists in targeting goals, and understanding barriers that hinder success of achieving goals. Coaching services can be provided to a client from any location.

    Coaching is not a substitute for therapy.

  • We aim to work with both mind and body in offering insight and healing.

    Somatic approaches can include body check-ins, breath work, guided visualizations, guided relaxations, trauma release exercises, tapping, trigger point work, examining nutrition, yoga and EMDR.

  • Sessions for all services usually last between 50-60 minutes. Some clients find it beneficial to book sessions that are 80 minutes in duration, particularly for services like EMDR, or reiki.

    If a longer session(s) would suit you, let us know and we can find time to accommodate.

  • We do not.

    If you are a resident of Kentucky or Virginia seeking psychotherapy and I am out-of-network, I am happy to work with you to provide documentation needed for insurance claims.

  • For some services, like life coaching or reiki, clients can be seen in Canada and Puerto Rico.
